Jack E. Palmer

Jack E. Palmer, 76, of Connoquenessing Township and formerly of Middlesex died Wednesday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born July 16, 1928, in Butler, he was a son of Ralph and Otho Wonderly Palmer.

He retired from Armco Steel in 1992, where he worked in the maintenance department for years.

Mr. Palmer was an avid sportsman who loved all outdoor activities.

He was a member of the Bakerstown United Methodist Church in Richland Township, Allegheny County.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Pfirrman Palmer, whom he married Aug. 3, 1979.

Also surviving are two daughters, Cynthia Church of North Carolina and Sharon Morrow of Oklahoma; a son, Douglas Palmer of Alaska; a brother, Kenneth Palmer of Butler; a sister, Peggy Smith of Butler, and two grandchildren.

PALMER - Friends of Jack E. Palmer, who died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the HERBERT R. KING JR. FUNERAL HOME, Route 8 at 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Stewart, his pastor, officiating.
