The Butler Kiwanis Club is now accepting donations from individuals and organizations for its annual peanut day.
Club members will be distributing peanuts and seeking donations May 6 at area businesses.
Those donating $35 or more will receive a box of 100 packets of peanuts.

The class "Making it through Menopause," will be held at 7 p.m. April 21 in the Dimmick Educational Center at Butler Memorial Hospital.A free osteoporosis screening will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. To register for the course, call 724-284-4232.
BUTLER TWP - A Rummage and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Meridian United Presbyterian Church, Highland Ave.
The Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will host its Cherry Pink Luncheon and Fashion Show on April 23 at the Butler Country Club.Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon. The event will also include a Chinese auction and bake sale.Cost is $20 per person and tickets are available at Truly Yours in the Clearview Mall and at the Cherry Tree Gift Shop in the hospital.
CHICORA - An adult Sock Hop will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday in Biller Hall at Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church, Route 68.Beer and a light meal will be provided. HERMAN - Tickets are now available for a card party and luncheon to be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic School, Herman Road.Tickets are $8, and the event will include door prizes. For tickets, call 724-283-2129 or visit the school or church office.
HARMONY - The Harmony Museum will host a German dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Stewart Hall, Mercer St.The museum will be open for tours from 1 to 4 p.m.Cost is $12 each and reservations are recommended. For reservations, call 724-452-7341.
CHERRY TWP - Sixth grade band members from Moniteau, Karns City and Slippery Rock school districts will join together for an All-Star Band Festival Tuesday in the auditorium at Moniteau High School, Route 308.Students will rehearse throughout the day and a concert will be held at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
