Gordon Bros. Water
Celebrating its 60th anniversary, Gordon Bros. Water will tout its longevity in business in 2005.
Since the company has such a long history, it has taken the stance that all of its employees be certified water quality specialists by the Water Quality Association.
Further, Gordon Bros. Water is promoting its family roots.
It is led by Bruce Gordon, chairman of the company and the son of company founder Lloyd M. Gordon, and Ned Jones, president and son-in-law of the founder. Scott Jones, a third-generation family member, is vice president.
A new feature the company has added is a trial offer for its Kinetico water system, the world's premier water processing system. It doesn't need electricity to provide quality water.
"Gordon Bros. Water is home of the free 14 day trial," said Ned Jones, company president. "Customers can use a Kinetico system for 14 days. They pay nothing unless they're totally satisfied. We think that's a little unusual in today's world.''
A key strategy for the company is they are the exclusive Kinetico dealer in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties in Ohio; and in northern Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Crawford, Lawrence and Mercer counties in Pennsylvania
Headquartered in Salem, Ohio, Gordon Bros. Water also has branch offices in Cranberry Township with Chris Lisac as general manager. Luanne McDaniel is president of the Western Pennsylvania operation.
The Cranberry market, the fastest growth area in Western Pennsylvania, has been targeted by the company to expand sales.
Also, Gordon Bros. Water has been in the bottled water business for 18 years, delivering 5 gallon containers for water coolers. In addition, the company offers 20 ounce sports and regular consumer water bottles.
