Cameron Peterson of Grove City won the Tee Zel Open Golf Championship last weekend, carding a 4-over-par 148 at Cook's Creek Golf Club in Ashville, Ohio.

The two-day event was part of the Plantations Junior Golf Tour and was played in 30-mile per hour winds and 20-degree wind chill.

The win was Peterson's second of the season on the tour, which attracts more than 1,000 boys ages 8 to 19 throughout the country.

The sixth annual Clarion County Branch YMCA Sportsmanship All-Star basketball games will be played April 23 at Clarion High School.The girls game begins at 1 p.m. and features Union coach Josh Meeker and Clarion coach Roger Walter. The boys game is at 3 and features coaches Steve Andreassi of Karns City and Karen Davis of Union.The teams are comprised of senior all-star players from the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference. Proceeds benefit the Clarion County YMCA.

The Butler County American Legion Baseball League meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Father Marinaro Meeting Room.All teams must be represented.

The third annual Sportsmen's Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the North Side Sportsmen's Association in Warrendale.The event will feature representatives from the state Fish and Boat and Game Commissions, free boat inspections by Coast Guard Auxiliary, numerous vendors and exhibitors and special appearances and outdoor demonstrations.For directions, go to www.northsidesportsmen.cc/.
