An Oct. 1 wedding is being planned by Sandy Giraud and Brian Allbee, both of Madison, Ala.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ray and Kathy Giraud of Palm Desert, Calif. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Elmer and Maggie Allbee of Karns City.

The bride-elect graduated in 1995 from Palm Desert High School and in 1999 from the University of San Francisco with a bachelor's degree. She is pursuing a master's of public administration at San Jose State University. She works for Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.

Her fiancé graduated in 1994 from Karns City High School and in 1999 from Indiana (Pa.) University with a bachelor's degree. He is a candidate for a master's of science in management at Florida Institute of Technology. He works for Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Huntsville, Ala.
