Joan Peschel of Kittanning will celebrate her 80th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora Road, Chicora.

The former Joan Bradbury was born April 10, 1925, in Letchworth, England. She married Theodore Stoops who is deceased. She later married Earl Peschel.

She has five children, Kay Bigley of Sligo, Linda Hutchison of Chicora, Elaine Scarnato of Butler, Susan Leopold of East Brady and Andrea Hillwig of Karns City.

She also has 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Peschel is retired. She is a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
