Rose McRoberts
Rose McRoberts, 92, of Saxonburg died Sunday at her home.
Born Sept. 15, 1912, in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Love Robertson.
She was a homemaker and ran a small produce and poultry farm, where she served Butler and Allegheny Valley with produce and eggs. She was known as the "Egg Lady."
She was a member of the Ivywood Bible Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and knitting.
Surviving are three sons, Terry E. McRoberts of Telford, Pa., Paul McRoberts of Lady Lake, Fla., and Daniel McRoberts of Saxonburg; a brother, Francis Robertson of Saxonburg; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl R. McRoberts, who died Dec. 20, 2004; two brothers; and one sister.
<B>MCROBERTS</B> - Friends of Rose McRoberts, who died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Chris Marshall officiating.
