7:52 a.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Amy Elkin, 29, of Butler and a truck driven by Keith Hepler, 41, of Worthington, Armstrong County, collided on West Wayne Street.Monday - Jeremy Ament of Butler reported that his motorcycle was taken sometime during the past week from a locked box trailer behind a West New Castle Street business. The red, 1990 Honda CR500 is valued at $1,500.

9 p.m. Wednesday - Two suspected shoplifters were caught shortly after attempting to take items from the Wal-Mart store at Butler Commons.Matthew Drum, 20, of Cheswick, Allegheny County, and Jennifer Gramling, 21, of Windber, Somerset County, were arraigned on charges of felony retail theft and conspiracy and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,000 bond each.Both defendants ran from the store but officers caught Drum at the Butler Veterans Administration Medical Center. Gramling was nabbed at the 7-Eleven store on New Castle Road.

9:27 p.m. Tuesday - An unidentified pickup truck crossed the center line on Halston Road in Clay Township and collided with another pickup driven by Paul Kumpfmiller, 70, of Franklin Township. The driver of the unidentified pickup did not stop following the crash.6 p.m. Tuesday - A Forward Township teenager was seriously injured when her car traveled off Route 488 in Prospect and slammed head-on into a tree.Katie Defonde, 19, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter to an unidentified Pittsburgh hospital. Her condition was not known this morning. She was cited for careless driving and driving with a suspended license.3:28 p.m. Tuesday - A pickup truck driven by Theodore Graham, 59, of Franklin, Venango County spun out of control on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township and struck a guardrail.

11:12 p.m. Monday - James Masterson, no age given, of New Middletown, Ohio, was seriously injured when the vehicle he was driving struck an embankment on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County, became airborne for about 150 feet and slammed into the side of a concrete bridge. The vehicle ended up in a creek.Masterson, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to an unknown hospital for treatment of his injuries. No other information was available this morning.12:25 a.m. March 11 - Ronald Stettner, 55, of Polk, Venango County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck struck a utility pole along Route 965 in Worth Township, Mercer County. Stettner, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
