Cannon's arm sparks Planets
D.J. Cannon pitched a complete-game two-hitter with eight strikeouts to lead the Mars baseball team to a 5-0 victory over Freeport Wednesday.
Adam Spithaler smacked two doubles and added three RBI for the Planets (1-2).

Cory Green knocked in two runs with a double in the bottom of the second inning as Knoch slipped past Quaker Valley 2-1.
John Lefevre picked up the win in relief, pitching two scoreless innings and striking out four.
Nathan Markle had two doubles and Josh Warburton drove in a run with a single, but they were not enough for Moniteau to overcome six errors in a 13-2 loss to Ford City in a game shortened to five innings.
