Duella A. Thompson, 81, of Saxonburg died Saturday after a long illness from cancer

Born in Sarver, Sept. 7, 1923, she was the daughter of Charles and Margaret Phillips Demski.

She was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church, Sarver.

Mrs. Thompson graduated from Freeport High School and The Butler Business College and had several office positions at Allegheny Ludlum and Du-Co Ceramics. She enjoyed traveling, golfing and sewing,

She is survived by her husband John R. Thompson, whom she married Nov. 30, 1979; two daughters, Linda Fennell of Sarver and Susan Beale of Freeport; and a grandson. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond O. Colwell, who died Aug. 1, 1970, and a sister.

THOMPSON - Friends of Duella A. Thompson, who died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday atFOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Emery Barnett officiating.
