Ida Double of Whispering Acres in Chicora will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Frogtown Wildlife Club, Frogtown-Kaylor Road, Chicora.

The former Ida Glynn was born March 21, 1915, in Butler. She married Thomas Double on Oct. 5, 1942. He is deceased.

She has five children, Bill Double of Morrisville; Harold Double, Ed Double and Donna Callihan, all of Chicora; and Vince Double of Herman. A son, Jim Double, is deceased.

She also has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Double is a former homemaker.

She is a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Brady's Bend.
