Marian Anna Reed, 88, of Newhaven Court in Center Township, formerly of Highland Road and Lumar Village, died at 3:43 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler, Feb. 12, 1917, she was the daughter of Thomas and Anna Graham Reed.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed golfing in the Armco Ladies Golf League and enjoyed bowling in the Butler Church League,

Mrs. Reed was an active member of the First United Methodist, where she participated in the 3-M's group and the Asberry Sunday school class.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John (Betty Jo) McLaren of Girard, Erie County; a son, Paul F. Reed

and his wife, Phyllis,

of Clinton Township, Mich.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Paul Graham Reed, died Jan. 8, 1995. She also was preceded in death by two sisters and three-brothers.

REED - Friends of Marian Anna Reed, who died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. David Panther officiating.
