Kenneth D. Edinger

Kenneth D. Edinger, 76, of Mars died Sunday evening at LAS/St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Verona, Sept. 15, 1928, he was the son of William F. and Selina Butts Edinger.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and had been a self-employed carpenter.

Mr. Edinger was a member of the Mars Alliance Church, where he was an usher, trustee and odd jobber. He also belonged to the AARP.

Surviving are his wife, Ardeth Harley Edinger, whom he married July 23, 1949; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Sarah) Horgos of West Sunbury and Mrs. Tom (Darlene) Burkett of Mars; and three sons, Donald Edinger of Valencia, Kenneth Edinger of Mars and David Edinger of New Castle. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Five brothers preceded him in death.

EDINGER - Friends of Kenneth D. Edinger, who died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today atMcDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mars Alliance Church with the Rev. Paul Cope officiating.Memorial contributions may be made to the Mars Alliance Church Building Fund, Route 228, Mars, PA 16046.
