Peters Chocolate Shoppe has been a family owned business in Butler since 1938.

In 1998, three Steinheiser brothers - Rod, Dee and Seth - bought the business, which is at 326 W. Jefferson St.

Rod and Dee are also part owners of another chocolate business. Seth, the youngest, and primary owner, acquired his confectionary chocolatier certification from Gannon University.

All of the confections are made right here in Butler with close attention to quality, taste and appearance. Many of the employees have more than 20 years experience in the chocolate-making industry.

Although Christmas and Valentine's Day are busy candy holidays, Easter is by far the busiest. They are very busy making lots of bunnies and eggs to fill the baskets.

So stop by the store and visit and sample some of the best chocolate around. It will be love at first bite.
