Seneca Valley's Safritt wins two more swimming medals
Seneca Valley's Stacie Safritt came away from Saturday's portion of the PIAA Swimming Championships at Bucknell University with two more medals to her credit.
Safritt finished third in the 100 free with a time of 51.45 seconds and also was a member of the 400 free relay that placed fourth overall with a time of 3:33.88.
She was joined by Kelly Connolly, Rose Snyder and Kylie Gamelier.
Safritt, Gamelier, Connolly and Mandie Huffman opened the meet on Friday with a gold-medal performance in the 200 medley relay with a school-record time of 1:47.10.
Also on Saturday, Gamelier finished 10th in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.38) while Connolly was 26th in the 100 free (54.90).
Butler's Molly Evans shattered her own school record with a time of 5:12.37 in the 500 free, good for 18th place. Her previous best was 5:18.93.
In the boys meet, Seneca Valley's Scott Bowser was 14th in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.72) and Drew Snyder was 20th in the 100 free (48.53).
