6:49 p.m. Sunday - Two suspects were charged with taking a pair of banners, valued at $130, from the Monroe Hotel, 400 E. Jefferson St. Charged with theft and conspiracy are Justin Lapiska, 23, of Adams Township and Andrew Rinaman, 23, of East Butler.3:31 a.m. Sunday - A pair of 16-year-old Butler boys, whom police did not identify, were arrested in connection with a theft of a wallet from a vehicle on North Church Street.A police officer suffered minor injuries while arresting one of the suspects at the boy's home, where he had run to after being spotted inside the vehicle.That boy is charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief, conspiracy and underage drinking. The other boy is charged with conspiracy and underage drinking.3:13 a.m. Thursday - Wayne Edwards, 47, of 623 Bessemer Ave., Apt. 6, Lyndora, was arrested on drug-related charges following a traffic stop at North Main and West New Castle streets.Police stopped the car, which had an expired Ohio registration, and found two small pieces of suspected crack cocaine and a pair of crack pipes.Edwards is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and driving an unregistered vehicle.
8:34 a.m. March 10 - Vehicles driven by Patricia Messina, 37, and Barbara Sowers, 66, both of Grove City collided at South Center and Poplar streets. Sowers suffered minor head injuries and was taken to United Community Hospital in Grove City.6:58 p.m. March 1 - Tammy Blake, 31, of North Broad Street, Grove City was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment after allegedly assaulting Wendy Maxwell, 37, of Grove City at the Grove City Dollar General.
8:29 p.m. Sunday - Christian Foertsch, 18, of Butler swerved his car to avoid a deer, and struck a traffic sign before the vehicle rolled onto its roof. Foertsch, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.4:15 a.m. Sunday - Monica Birckbichler, no age given, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Birckbichler, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for a shoulder injury at United Community Hospital in Grove City.3:12 a.m. Sunday - Laura Prutisto, 23, of Archbald, Lackawanna County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 8 and Muddy Creek Drive in Brady Township.2:26 a.m. Sunday - Brian Taylor, 32, of Prospect was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Meridian and Whitestown roads in Butler Township.Saturday - Police are seeking the identity of the driver of a car that struck a tree along Route 528 in Brady Township. The driver of the car fled the wreck.4:52 p.m. Friday - An unknown driver in an unidentified vehicle made an illegal U-turn on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township causing a four-vehicle, chain-reaction crash.The drivers of the cars in the chain-reaction collision were Joseph Traynor, 27, of Carnegie, Allegheny County; Terry Mann, 44, of New Castle; Timothy Papp, 36, of Sharon; and Debora Waryanka, 44, of Grove City.Friday - About $2,200 in stainless steel pipe was taken in separate thefts Thursday and Friday from Marmon/Keystone on Valvoline Drive in East Butler.11:20 p.m. Thursday - Greg Jones, no age given, of 800 W. Park Road, Slippery Rock, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and other undisclosed traffic violations after his pickup truck struck a guardrail along West Park Road in Worth Township. Police said Jones fled the scene and was arrested at his home.11:50 a.m. Thursday - A 15-year-old boy was charged after he was found with marijuana at Moniteau High School in Cherry Township. The boy is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.March 14 - A total of $400 was taken from two employees at the Chicora Medical Center in Donegal Township. The money was taken between 8 and 10 a.m. from the laundry room.
Thursday - Someone broke into the Phoenix Quik Stop in Clintonville, Venango County, and took a safe. The burglary occurred between 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and 5:45 a.m. Thursday.
6:30 p.m. Saturday - Four illegal aliens from Venezuela were arrested following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County.The suspects were placed in the Lawrence County Jail and will be turned over to the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.2:51 a.m. Saturday - A car driven by Kenneth McMahon, 32, of Mercer traveled off Bradley Road in Worth Township, Mercer County, and rolled over several times before landing on its roof. Kimberly Williams, 30, of Sharon, a passenger in the car who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out of the vehicle.Williams and McMahon, who was wearing a seat belt, were taken with moderate injuries to United Community Hospital in Grove City. McMahon was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
