An Oct. 8 wedding is being planned by Amy Ziegler and Trey McGirt, both of Wilmington, N.C.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of William and Esther Ziegler of Evans City. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Archie McGirt and Nancy Langley, both of Wilmington.

The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Seneca Valley High School and a 2002 graduate of Saint Andrew's Presbyterian College, where she received a degree in business. She holds licenses in life and health and property and casualty insurance. She is works in the office of State Farm agent Tim Moore.

Her fiancé is a 1998 graduate of Hoggard High School and a graduate of Saint Andrew's Presbyterian College, where he received a degree in business. He is the manager of a family business.
