SAXONBURG - District Judge Sue Haggerty recently had these cases come before her:

Joe Ambrose, 25, of 111 Star Grille Road, Winfield Township, waived to court charges of driving under the influence, driving too fast for conditions and careless driving, filed Feb. 23 by state police.

Marci Burns, 34, of Tarentum, Allegheny County, waived to court a bad check charge, filed Jan. 24 by state police.

Roy Geary, 57, of 438 S. Pike Road, Buffalo Township, was held for court on charges of driving under the influence and careless driving, filed Nov. 30 by Buffalo Township police.

Brandon Heckman, 19, of 212 Chan Mowr Drive, Middlesex Township, waived to court charges of driving under the influence, underage drinking and careless driving, filed Jan. 3 by Middlesex Township police.

Richard Helch, 53, of East Brady, Clarion County, waived to court charges of driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, careless driving, following too close to another vehicle and driving too fast for conditions, filed Dec. 30 by Penn Township police.

Kami Hirst, 27, of Kittanning waived to court charges of driving under the influence, failing to stay in her lane of traffic, speeding and careless driving, filed Jan. 19 by state police.

James Juran, 30, of 330 Great Belt Road, Jefferson Township, waived to court charges of driving under the influence, accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle, driving too fast for conditions, careless driving, failing to stop at a stop sign, and failing to notify police of an accident, filed March 7 by state police.

Matthew Kimmel, 25, of 616½ Eau Claire St., Butler, waived to court charges of driving under the influence, failing to stay in his lane of traffic and failing to wear a seat belt, filed Dec. 3 by state police.

Felicia Saunders, 42, of 210 Carol Drive, Saxonburg, waived to court charges of driving under the influence, accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle or property, and careless driving, filed Jan. 13 by state police.

Adam Schnur, 19, of 316 Westminster Drive, Clinton Township, pleaded guilty to possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, speeding and failing to stay in his lane of traffic. He was ordered to pay $493 in fines and court courts. The charges were filed Dec. 15 by Penn Township police.

Marianne Smith, 41, of 422 W. Diamond St. was held for court on charges of driving under the influence, filed Nov. 15 by state police.

Wade Speakman, 18, of 413 Aderhold Road, Saxonburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was ordered to pay $333 in fines and court costs. The charges were filed Dec. 15 by Penn Township police.

Ryan Stepp, 23, of 437 Crisswell Road, Penn Township, waived to court charges of theft, access device fraud, unauthorized use of vehicles and driving with a suspended license, filed Jan. 19 by Penn Township police.

Dale Thomas, 34, of Greensburg, Westmoreland County, was held for court on charges of theft by deception and bad checks, filed Nov. 29 by Buffalo Township police.

Megan Ward, 22, of Pittsburgh waived to court charges of driving under the influence, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, filed Dec. 8 by Penn Township police.

SLIPPERY ROCK - District Judge Clifford Woessner recently heard these cases:Kathy M. Mitchell, 32, of Beaver Falls, had her case held for court. She was charged by state police with theft by deception and writing bad checks totaling $2,000 to First Commonwealth Bank in Butler. The charges stem from incidents occurring from April to May of 2004.Bruce E. Hummel, 41, of Butler, had his case waived to court. He was charged by state police with forgery, theft by deception and receiving stolen property on Feb. 7. Hummel is charged with stealing unemployment checks from the mailbox of a Sanderson Drive residence in Slippery Rock Township in July 2004.Steven D. Nevel, 27, of Boyers, had his case held for court. He was charged by state police with driving under the influence, disregard for traffic lane, speeding and careless driving Feb. 5 on Branchton Road in Slippery Rock Township.
