Col. Harvey K. Hilliard
Air Force Col. Harvey K. Hilliard, 53, of 603 Vandenberg Drive, Biloxi, Miss., died of cardiac arrest at 2:04 p.m. Sunday in the emergency room of the Kessler Air Force Base medical center in Biloxi.
Born in El Paso, Texas, Jan. 6, 1952, he was the son of Shirley Ann Kennedy Hilliard and the late Kenneth Russell Hilliard.
Col. Hilliard was a certified registered nurse anesthetist. His life was the military and his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Leota M. Mahle Hilliard, whom he married Aug. 12, 1977; two daughters, Mary Brown-Frazier of Biloxi and Shirley Hilliard of Oxford, Miss.; and three grandchildren, William and Jasmine Brown and LaDaja Frazier. He also is survived by his mother of Butler; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Susan) Ragan of Prospect and Mrs. George (Marjorie) Pavlinsky of Valencia; a brother, Randolph Hilliard of Fairbanks, Alaska; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Kenneth Hilliard.
HILLIARD - Friends of Air Force Col. Harvey K. Hilliard, who died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Aluise, pastor of Oak Hill Alliance Church, officiating.
