Anna J. Monteleone

Anna J. Monteleone, 89, of Herman Road, formerly of Fourth Avenue, died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 14, 1915, in Butler, she was a daughter of Emrick and Anna Petch Isovitsch.

She and her husband owned and operated Pat's Service Station on West Cunningham Street from 1949 until 1980. They also worked together during the same time period as wallpaper hangers in the Butler area.

Mrs. Monteleone was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church and the Women's Council of the church.

Surviving are four sons: Patsy N. Monteleone and his wife, Carol, of Reisterstown, Md., Charles M. Monteleone and his wife, Patricia, of Vero Beach, Fla., David T. Monteleone of Butler and John A. Monteleone and his wife, Maria, of Homestead, Fla.; a brother, George Isovitsch of Butler; and two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Gillott and Mrs. Stanley (Dorothy) Pakutz, both of Butler. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, Charlie, Danyale, Jill and John Brady Monteleone, Susan Beebe, Krystal Rivera and Brittany Shansky; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Pasquale F. "Patsy" Monteleone, whom she married Aug. 12, 1939, died Aug. 12, 1987. She also was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kathy Hoyle; four sisters; and six brothers.

MONTELEONE - Friends of Anna J. Monteleone, who died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Jack Nanz officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.The Women's Council of St. Peter will meet at 10:40 a.m. Monday at the church to recite the rosary.Memorial donations may be made to the Saxony Health Care Center, Saxonburg.Please visit the funeral home Web site at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
