George R. Richardson
George Ralph Richardson, 77, of Morrisville in Bucks County died Tuesday at Frankford Hospital, Bucks County Campus, in Falls Township.
Born in Butler, May 13, 1927, he was the son of Theodore A. and Mary A. Hazlett Richardson.
He has been a resident of Morrisville for 25 years. He was employed with U.S. Steel's Fairless Works in the pipe mill for 46 years until retiring in 1994.
Mr. Richardson was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea. He was a member of the John Billington VFW Post 6495 in Bristol Township, Bucks County, and the American Legion Post 834 in Fallsington, Bucks County, where he was a member of the Forty and Eight. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2489 in Fairless Hills, Bucks County.
He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley J. (Brightman) Richardson. He is the loving father of Victoria Urbanik and her husband, Edward, of Hamilton Township, N.J., Tamara Abel and her husband, Richard, of Chicora and Jayne Babock of Butler.
He was the youngest of eight children and is survived by six nieces and nephews, three great-nieces and great-nephews, two great-great-nieces, a step-grandson and a step-great-grandson.
He was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends both in Bucks County and Butler.
RICHARDSON - Family and friends of George Ralph Richardson, who died Tuesday, Feb. 8. 2005, will be received from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the JAMES J. DOUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. A funeral service will follow at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends are also invited to attend his graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton, N.J.
