BC3 ends season with Region 20 loss

Matt Lobaugh scored 22 points, but the Butler County Community College basketball season ended with a 74-66 loss to Anne Arundel Community College in the Region 20, Division III semifinals Saturday.

Jeremy Peterson added 12 points and Butler High School graduate Will Miller added 11 for the Pioneers.

BCCC returns all of its starters and nine of its 12 players next year from a team that went 17-11 this season.

Brad Wilson doubled, singled and drove in two runs as the Slippery Rock University baseball team beat Bloomsburg 5-1 at Terry Park in Fort Myers, Fla. Sunday afternoon.Wilson is now hitting .750 with five RBI and three doubles this season.The Rock is now 5-0 overall and 3-0 against regional rivals during its annual spring trip.Senior right-hander Nick Armstong picked up the win, allowing one run on seven hits. He struck out two and walked one in five innings of work.Dan Herisko earned the save for The Rock.

Erika Brunner scored four goals to lead the Slippery Rock University women's water polo team to a 13-3 win over Grove City College at Morrow Field House Friday night.Brunner has 30 goals this season for The Rock (4-9).A-C Valley High School graduate Amanda Zychowski add three goals and two steals for SRU.
