These items have been collected from various police departments across Western Pennsylvania.
10:15 p.m. Feb. 27 - Five juveniles from the Philadelphia area and ranging in age from 15 to 17 fled George Junior Republic in Pine Township. After an intense search of the township, all five were apprehended at various locations. All five were charged with escape, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest before the Juvenile Courts of Mercer County.5:10 p.m. Feb. 24 - A trailer being pulled by a vehicle driven by Tony Steele, 39, of Niles, Ohio, locked up and caught fire on Route 208 in Springfield Township. Steele and a passing motorist managed to put the fire out.
7:38 a.m. Thursday - Vehicles driven by Barbara Philie, 58, of New Kensington; Mark Restori, 42, of Sarver and Tracy Edwards, 42, of Natrona Heights collided on Route 28 near Fox Chapel in O'Hara Township. Restori and Edwards were stopped in morning rush hour congestion when their vehicles were struck by Philie's vehicle. All three drivers were wearing seat belts and the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Philie was treated for chest injuries at Allegheny General Hospital and released.
