Raymond E. Logan

Raymond E. Logan, 84, of Renfrew, formerly of Saxonburg, died Wednesday at his home.

Born Aug. 11, 1920, in Clinton Township, he was the son of Edward E. and Margaret Moore Logan.

He simultaneously maintained the family farm in Clinton Township while working in the processing maintenance department at Armco-Butler Works. He retired from Armco in 1983 after 43 years and had served as a union representative for years.

Mr. Logan was a sixth generation descendant of one of the first families to settle in Butler County. He was a member of the Keystone Squares and a number of round-dancing groups.

Surviving are his wife, Jennie Kitt Logan, whom he married Jan. 8, 1945; three sons, Robert P. Logan of Butler, David C. Logan of Wexford and Richard S. Logan of Renfrew; a daughter, Mrs. David (Patricia) J. Macurdy of Butler, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

LOGAN - Friends of Raymond E. Logan, who died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday atFOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 700, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
