2:24 a.m. Thursday - Tyler Jenkins, no age given, of 130 Purvis Road lost control of his vehicle at the intersection of New Castle Street and Wyle Avenue. The vehicle went up over a sidewalk and struck a utility pole. Jenkins was trapped in the vehicle and was removed by the Butler Fire Department and Butler Ambulance Service. Jenkins was flown to Allegheny General Hospital where his condition is unknown as of this morning.Feb. 23 - Donna Warren, 50, of 121 Jodi Lane was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after a resident of Eighth Avenue told police $1,200 worth of home décor was stolen from her home. Warren was arrested after most of the stolen property was found at her residence.
3:25 p.m. March 1 - Vehicles driven by Brenda V. Oviatl, no age available, of 614 New Castle Road, Slippery Rock, and Robert Goelz, 45, of 604 Van Buren St., Evans City, collided on Little Creek Road. No injuries were reported. Goelz was cited for a traffic violation.3:10 p.m. Feb. 26 - An Evans City man was charged with driving under the influence following a two-vehicle accident near the H.P. Star on the Evans City Road. Police said a vehicle driven by Kevin H. Smith, 45, of 308 Margaret Ave. struck another vehicle and its unidentified driver from behind as the vehicle was stopped waiting for a vehicle in front to make a turn.8:29 a.m. Feb. 21 - Donald Rape of 623 Perry Way reported a vehicle owned by his brother was damaged overnight. Police said numerous windows were smashed out and there was body damage to the vehicle. There was no estimate on cost of damage to the vehicle.
6:30 a.m. Tuesday - A Pennsylvania Department of Transportation truck driven by Norman Giles, 44, of Harmony, while plowing snow at Route 228 and Adams Ridge Boulevard, collided with a car stopped to make a turn.The car, driven by Darcy Tumminello, 38, of Adams Township was in the turn lane when the truck's plow struck a concrete island at the intersection, pushing the truck into the car.No injuries were reported but Tumminello's car was "totaled" in the crash, police aid.
2:08 a.m. Friday - Deborah Young, 36, of Chicora was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and other traffic violations after she lost control of her vehicle on Route 68 in Oakland Township and struck a state police vehicle driven by Trooper Greg Brandt, 30, of Butler.4:45 p.m. Wednesday - A vehicle driven by Michelle Guina, 22, of West Chester was struck by a vehicle driven by a hit and run driver on Route 108 in Slippery Rock Township. The unidentified driver was described as a white male in his 30s with a full beard and driving a late model white sedan. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-284-8100.4:40 p.m. Wednesday - Adam Lutz, 18, of Prospect lost control of his vehicle on Lyons Road in Center Township and struck a fence. He was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.3:30 p.m. Wednesday - Philip Frampton, 18, of Harrisville told police someone stole two tool boxes containing ratchet sets from his pickup truck while it was at Slippery Rock High School. Anyone with any information is asked to call state police at 724-284-8100.7:15 a.m. Feb. 24 - Bridgette Kennedy, 23, of Pittsburgh lost control of her vehicle on snow covered Interstate 79 and struck a metal barrier.
5:40 p.m. Thursday - Five people, including two children, were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Route 173 in Liberty Township. The driver of the first vehicle, Kellie Peak, 20, and her passenger, Jennifer Drake, 21, both of New Castle, were moderately injured. A 1-year-old female and 2-year-old male passenger, along with the driver of the second vehicle, Michael Formeck, 52, of Slippery Rock, had minor injuries. All three adults were wearing seatbelts and the children were in child seats. Peak was charged with driving with a suspended license, and with stop and yield sign violations. There is no report as to where the injured people were taken or what their conditions were as of this morning.9 p.m. Tuesday - Frank Blum Jr., no age given, of Grove City lost control of his vehicle on snow covered Route 208 in Pine Township. The vehicle rolled onto its roof but Blum was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
