Schaffner, Ranalli

Amanda Schaffner of Valencia and James Ranalli of Gibsonia were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Oct. 9 at St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars. The Rev. Charles Bober officiated. A reception was held at the Four Points Sheraton in Cranberry Township.

The bride is the daughter of William and Connie Schaffner of Valencia. Father of the bridegroom is Dr. Frank Ranalli of Gibsonia.

The matron of honor was Valerie Harper of Ellwood City. Bridesmaids included Christy Nickl of Mars, Jennifer Robinson of Beaver Falls, Cathy Schaffner of Saylorsburg and Angela Knight of Oneida, N.Y. The flower girl was Hannah Nickl of Mars.

Performing the duties of best man was Frank Ranalli of Gibsonia. Ushers included Mike Brzoska of Butler, Dan Schaffner of Saylorsburg and the groom's sisters, Tammy Ranalli and Marca Melchar, both of Gibsonia and Emalee Ranalli of Pittsburgh. The ring bearers were Lucas Schaffner and Joshua Schaffner, both of Saylorsburg.

The bride graduated in 1993 from Mars High School and received degrees from Slippery Rock University in 1997 and 1999. She works at the Irene Stacy Community Mental Health Center in Butler.

The groom is a 1989 graduate of Pine Richland High School and a 2003 graduate of ITT Technical Institute. He works for Aerotech in Pittsburgh.

Following a honeymoon trip to the Poconos, the couple is making their home in Gibsonia.
