Bemben, Weiland

Marcy Bemben of Fenelton and Brian Weiland of Chicora were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at First United Methodist Church in Butler. The Rev. J. David Panther officiated. A reception followed at The Atrium in Prospect.

The bride is the daughter of Robert Bemben of Chicora. Parents of the bridegroom are William and Vivian Weiland of Chicora.

The honor attendant was Melinda Miller of Fenelton. Bridesmaids included Nadine Bergbigler and Christine Bellis, both of Butler, and Tricia Schofield of Grove City. The flower girl was Danae Bergbigler of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was Eric Weiland of Chicora. Ushers included Tom Genaway of Prospect, Jason Carben of Chicora and Ray Shearer of Butler. The ring bearer was Ethan Miller of Fenelton.

The bride is a 1995 graduate of Butler High School, and earned a bachelor's degree in 1999 and a master's degree in 2002, both from the University of Pittsburgh. She works for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh and is a mental health consultant with the Butler County Head Start Program.

The bridegroom graduated in 1984 from BHS and in 2003 from Butler County Community College. He works for the Penn State University Applied Research Lab in Freeport.

After honeymooning in Aruba, the couple is making their home in Fenelton.
