Walter Donald Ezatoff

Walter Donald Ezatoff, 77, of Sugar Creek Rest near Worthington died Wednesday evening in the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 2, 1927, in Russellton, Allegheny County, he was the son of Michael and Catherine Roginski Ezatoff.

He was retired from coal mining, where he worked in the maintenance department. He previously owned and operated the Bakerstown Hotel for years.

Mr. Ezatoff served with the Army in Europe during World War II and was a disabled veteran.

He is survived by a son, Walter "Micky" Ezatoff of Franklin Township; a daughter, Linda C. Wetzel of Sarasota, Fla.; three grandsons; two brothers, David Ezatoff of Cheswick and Paul Ezatoff of Florida; three sisters, Ann "Terry" Zielinski of Detroit, Mich., Edith Carden of Verona and Paula Ezatoff of Cheswick; and a number of nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two stepsons, John Perry of Butler and Daniel Perry of Karns City; three stepdaughters, Cheryl Anderson of Petrolia, Tina Mickey of Slippery Rock and Jody Smith of Karns City; nine step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine A. Ezatoff, who died Sept. 1, 2004; a brother; a sister; and a step-granddaughter

<b>EZATOFF</b> - Friends of Walter D. Ezatoff, who died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at EDWARD L. RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffrey Curtis, pastor of Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, officiating.
