Ann E. Shields

Ann E. Shields, 81, formerly of Zelienople, died Tuesday at The Worthington at Adams in Seven Fields.

Born June 9, 1923, in New Castle, she was the daughter of David and Mary Maloney Evans.

Mrs. Shields was a member of the Madison Avenue Christian Church in New Castle.

She enjoyed playing bridge and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, John E. Shields; her children, Rebecca "Becky" Gray of Cranberry Township, Mark Shields and his wife, Jody, of Tyrone and Brad Shields and his wife, Tami, of Keller, Texas; a brother, Charles Evans of Georgia; and a sister, Mary McCartney of New Castle. Seven grandchildren, Aaron, Lizzie, Connor, Ian, Sean, Ariana and Hannah, also survive.

Two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.

SHIELDS - Friends of Ann E. Shields who died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday atGLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mars Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars, with the Rev. Paul Cope officiating. Everyone please meet at the church.
