An Aug. 6 wedding is being planned by Jennifer Ratcliff and Matthew DuPriest, both of Athens, Ohio.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of John Ratcliff and Janine Harvey, both of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are James and Nora DuPriest of Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

The bride-elect is a 1992 graduate of Butler High School and a 1996 graduate of Slippery Rock University, earning a bachelor's degree in psychology. She also earned a master's degrees in experimental psychology and counseling and is pursuing a doctorate in experimental psychology at Ohio University.

Her fiancé is a 1997 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School. He works as a mechanical engineer at Southeastern Machining in Lancaster, Ohio.
