10:16 p.m. Friday - A Buffalo Township man was arrested after assaulting his former girlfriend at Wayne and Chestnut streets.Matthew Kozlowski, 27, of 159 Bear Creek Road remains in Butler County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bond on charges of simple assault, reckless endangerment and terroristic threats.Police were called to the intersection after receiving the report of a man assaulting a woman. The victim, Kozlowski's 26-year-old ex-girlfriend whom they did not identify, told officers the defendant had a handgun and threatened to shoot her if she did not go with him. He allegedly was dragging her by the hair before police arrived.9:59 p.m. Wednesday - Matthew Carothers, 22, of 139 Plateau St., of Connoquenessing Township was arrested after suffering a suspected heroin overdose at a Red Rose Street home.Police were called and, after breaking through a locked bathroom door, found Carothers unconscious and lying on floor. Officers also found suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia in the bathroom, a police report said.Butler Ambulance Service paramedics were able to revive the defendant, who refused further medical treatment. He was later arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia as well as criminal mischief.
2:20 a.m. Sunday - An Allegheny County man was arrested after allegedly brandishing a gun outside the Club 356 at 180 Alameda Plaza.Raymont Cathie, 24, of Wilkinsburg is charged with two weapons violations, terroristic threats and reckless endangerment. He remains in Butler County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bond.Officers arrested the defendant after they were called to the Club 356 parking lot when he allegedly pulled a gun on a group of patrons, a police report said. The gun was not fired and no one was injured.
9:45 p.m. Sunday - A pickup truck driven by a 16-year-old Butler boy, whom police did not identify, skidded off snow-covered Herman Road in Summit Township and struck three steel posts.9:25 a.m. Sunday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Ryan Bauman, 23, of Bethlehem, Lehigh County, struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Worth Township, traveled across the highway and flipped onto its roof. Bauman, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said the crash occurred when Bauman fell asleep at the wheel.12:45 a.m. Saturday - A car driven by Peter Fogg, 22, of Whitinsville, Mass., rolled over twice after hitting a ditch along North Shore Road in Worth Township.11:42 p.m. Friday - Raylene Nagle, 48, of 202 Jamisonville Road, Center Township, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car crossed the center line on Unionville Road in Franklin Township and collided with a pickup truck driven by Larry Barber, 22, of Slippery Rock. Barber, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.5:20 p.m. Friday - Cars driven by Angeline Davis, 18, of Coudersport, Potter County, and Jason Bresnahan, 20, of Summit Township collided on Interstate 79 at the Route 488 off-ramp in Muddy Creek Township. Davis was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign.4 a.m. Friday - A car driven by Timothy Barger, 46, of Chicora skidded off snow-covered East Slippery Rock Road in Donegal Township and struck a utility pole. Police said Barger fled after the crash.Friday - Items were taken Thursday or Friday from two vehicles broken into on Stone Church Road in Prospect. Valerie Ireland said a portable DVD player was taken from her vehicle. Donna Eisler said unidentified property was taken from her vehicle.2:15 p.m. Thursday - Kelli Boulander of Butler said about $20 was taken from her purse at a West Sunbury Road home in Center Township. The thief is described as a white man, between 21 and 25 years old, and about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 160 pounds. He has dark wavy hair and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.7:50 a.m. Thursday - A car driven by Darlene Booher, 47, of Vandergrift, Westmoreland County, skidded on ice-covered Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township and struck an embankment and mailbox. Booher was cited for driving with an expired inspection sticker.2:15 a.m. Thursday - Raymont Cathie. 24, of Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at McClain and Hallet streets in Butler.
6:30 p.m. Saturday - An unknown amount of clothing was taken by a pair of unidentified men at Big Dog Sports Wear, Prime Outlets in Springfield Township, Mercer County.
