Eleanor M. Oesterling, 82, of 335 Center Drive in Oakland Township died at 4:45 a.m. today at Sunnyview Nursing Home.

Born in Butler, Nov. 30, 1922, she was the daughter of John and Emma Hutchens Covert.

She was a homemaker and had worked in the dietary department at Butler Memorial Hospital for 16 years.

Mrs. Oesterling was a member of the North Butler Presbyterian Church and the Moraine Blazing Star Campers.

She is survived by her husband, Loyal G. Oesterling, whom she married March 29, 1946; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Lintz of Chicora; a son, John L. Oesterling of Butler; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A sister, Dorothy Lawler of Evans City; a brother, Thomas Covert of Chicora; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

OESTERLING - Friends of Eleanor M. Oesterling, who died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Sickles, her church pastor, officiating.
