Edward and Audrey Smith of Zelienople celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a dinner and dance reception given by their children and grandchildren at the Marriott Pittsburgh North in Cranberry Township.

The former Audrey Brittner married Smith on Jan. 22, 1955 at St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church in Evans City.

They have five children, Charlene Nagle of Zelienople; Mary Wildman, Thomas Smith and Ronald Smith, all of Evans City; and Jennifer Welton of South Park. Another son, Edward Smith Jr., is deceased.

They also have 12 grandchildren.

Smith is the president of Samuel Smith in Evans City.

Audrey Smith is the president of Land Clearing in Zelienople.
