Carl and Leota Boltz of Concordia Haven Apartments III in Cabot celebrated 65 years of marriage recently.

The former Leota Opel married Boltz on Jan. 20, 1940, at St. John's the Cove Lutheran Church in Accident, Md.

They have three children, Robert Boltz of Atlanta, Richard Boltz of Austin, Texas; and Jean Johnson of Plantation, Fla. They also have eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Boltz retired in 1980 from the Mesta Machine Company in West Homestead.

The couple currently belongs to St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Cabot. They are former members of the Concordia Lutheran Church.
