Julia Nastasi
Julia Nastasi, 87, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Butler, died Dec. 14 at Holy Cross Hospital, Fort Lauderdale.
Born in Butler, Oct. 5, 1917, she was the daughter of Michael and Sophia Bushofsky Kolch.
She was a homemaker and member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Judith) Wojcki of Fort Lauderdale; a son, James L. "Buster" Nastasi Jr. of Butler; and a daughter-in-law, Patty Nastasi and niece, Phyllis Louise Nastasi, both of Butler. Also surviving are six cherished grandchildren, Mrs. Vincent (Dominique Nastasi) Haibach of Erie, James M. Nastasi of Tallahassee, Fla., Gregory P. Nastasi of Philadelphia, Mrs. Mark (Juliann Nastasi) Monteleone of Ephrata, Pa., Mrs. Robert (Anna Marie Nastasi) Loflin of Springfield, Va., and Philip F. Nastasi of Butler; and a great-grandchild, Nichole Haibach of Erie.
Her husband, James L. Nastasi Sr., died July 14, 2002. She also was preceded in death by a son, Dominic "Buddy" Nastasi, who died May 17, 2001; a brother, and two sisters.
NASTASI - A Mass of Christian burial for Julia Nastasi, who died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, was celebrated Tuesday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. James Dolan officiating.
