BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE
Gordon Thompson will provide music for the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service at Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68. A trumpet solo will be performed by Barry Mohney during the offertory.
The all-church Winter Indoor Picnic will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the gymnasium at the Mount Chestnut Nazarene Center, 177 North Road. Participants should take a dish to pass and a favorite table game. Table service and beverages will be provided, and basketball and volleyball equipment will be available.
An offering will be received during services Sunday to benefit Amanda Willette's college-sponsored medical missions trip to Ecuador.
The film "The Bells of Innocence" will be shown at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church. Finger food fellowship will follow.

The Bible Beach Blast for 3rd and 4th graders of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday. The annual Get to Know Your Bible sleepover will continue through noon Saturday.

On Friday and Saturday, teens from First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will participate in a January retreat at McNamara Farm in Meadville. Participants will leave the church at 4 p.m. Friday and return at 8 p.m. Saturday.
The Kingdom Seekers Sunday School will host a sled-riding party beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday at Moraine State Park, weather permitting. If the weather is not conducive to sled riding, the group will go ice skating at the Ice Connection of Pittsburgh, 118 Sylvan Spring, Valencia.
Kingdom Seekers class members and their families are invited to a luncheon at the Baptist Young Center after the 11 a.m. Sunday service. Each family should take a dish to share.

A ski trip to the Hidden Valley Ski Resort will be held Feb. 5. The bus will depart from the church at 7:30 a.m. and return at 9 p.m. Cost is $10 for transportation. Ski rental is $17 for adults and $14 for youth. Lift tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for youth, and lessons are $9 per person. Reservations and payment are due Feb. 2.
Orders for the book "Mercy Beyond Measure" are now being accepted. Books are $10 and can be ordered at the church office or welcome center. The book will serve as a devotional supplement for the upcoming spiritual adventure.

An offering will be received during February to benefit tsunami victims. All donations will be matched by the session.
