Thursday - Two Stihl chainsaws were taken from a porch at the Deer Run Road home of Scott Burgess.

2 p.m. Tuesday - Malcom East, 48, of Butler was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking two shirts and a pair of blue jeans from two stores at the Clearview Mall in Center Township.2:35 a.m. Tuesday - Benno Miller, 23, no known address, was arrested for driving under the influence at Center Avenue and Monroe Street in Butler. Police searched Miller's car and found suspected heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana.In addition to DUI, Miller faces drug-related charges. He is in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.Tuesday - Fifty-two dollars were taken between 11:30 p.m. Monday and 5:30 a.m. Tuesday from an unlocked car at the Crocus Lane home of Debbie and Kelly Chambers in Summit Township.4:17 p.m. Monday - Cars driven by Nicolas Mailloux, 18, and Prudence Moon, 42, both of Butler, collided at Route 38 and Hendricks Road in Summit Township. Moon, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Mailloux was cited for a left-turn violation.1:34 p.m. Saturday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Jason Boosel, 29, of Prospect and a car driven by Nathan Brown, 21, of Titusville, Crawford County, collided at Main Street and Kiester Road in Slippery Rock Township. Boosel's vehicle, following the crash, collided with a pickup truck driven by Dennis Pry, 37, of Slippery Rock.

11:48 p.m. Monday - Jason Orkwis, 22, of Natrona, Allegheny County, was arrested on drug-related and other charges following a disturbance on Market Street in Freeport, Armstrong County. Orkwis, who was allegedly found with suspected cocaine, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and receiving stolen property. No other information about the case was available this morning.9:10 a.m. Monday - Someone shot a mixed breed dog in the backyard of its owner, Melissa Boyer of Meadow Street in Worthington, Armstrong County. The condition of the dog, a 1-year-old Labrador/Rottweiler, was not known this morning.
