Annual charitable funds raised: $12,000 to $14,000
Annual club projects:Maintain “The Gardens” in Memorial Park; support youth programs such as college scholarships, YMCA, Learn to Swim program for fourth graders, summer reading, Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE), Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), Rotary Outstanding Vocational Awards (ROVA), World Affairs Council, exchange students, Little League, and the Armstrong Cable Academic Challenge.
Main annual club project:Continuing to maintain “The Gardens” in Memorial Park, also known as “Memorial Gardens.”
Club’s Centennial Project:In 2003-2005, ALCOA, George Junior Republic, and community volunteers, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Grove City, planted 100 trees to shade a popular bike path and to commemorate the Centennial of Rotary International. A dedication ceremony is being planned for early this year.
