Lewis 50th anniversary
Clarence and Mary Ellen Lewis of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner and reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Butler.
They will also celebrate with a cruise.
The former Mary Ellen Cornetti married Lewis on Jan. 22, 1955, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
They have five children, Linda Iannotti-Brandenberg, Lisa Cammisa, Bradley Lewis, Lori Altman and Scott Lewis, all of Butler.
They also have eight grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Lewis is retired from AK Steel. He is a past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus, past chairman of the bishop's project, past president of the Knights and Nobles and past president of the South Butler Fire Association. He is also an avid hunter and golfer.
Mrs. Lewis is retired from Duquesne University. She is a member of the Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoys bowling, cards and traveling.
The couple belongs to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where Mrs. Lewis is a eucharistic minister and a member of St. Paul's Guild.
