Elmer and Patricia Wagner of Butler celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday with a family dinner at the Saxonburg Hotel in Saxonburg.

The former Patricia O'Neil married Wagner Jan. 15, 1955, at St. John's Catholic Church in Coylesville.

They have five children: Thomas Wagner of Tillman, S.C.; Catherine Hemphill and Mary Allen, both of Butler; Joyce Boos of Queenstown, Md.; and Charles Wagner of Washington, Pa. They also have 11 grandchildren.

Wagner retired from Armco Steel in 1995, where he worked for 40 years in the North Processing Department.

Mrs. Wagner retired in 1995 from J.C.Penney after 20 years of service.

The couple belongs to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
