Robert and Ruth Buffington of Evans City celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently.

The former Ruth Lauch married Buffington on Jan. 13, 1945, at her home in Middle Lancaster.

They have three children: Anita Rice of Toney, Ala.; Sue Knox of Evans City; and Judy Nikosey of Brooklyn, N.Y. They also have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Buffington is a retired employee of the Cement Mason's Union 526 in Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Buffington is retired from the Marburger Farm Dairy in Evans City.

The couple belongs to Old Union Presbyterian Church in Mars.
