I bring up about my help with the veterans , because like today . I went to the Butler County American Legion Aux. meeting . It was at Lyndora . There I would hear the County Pres . asking each chapter meet teir goal.That is that they want them to get at least the same amount of members as last year, only one , has done it so far . The Zelienope one said that this would be their last year . That their post was closing at the end of the year .Mars post closed last ! What I have tried to get across to you people is that , like Gary , said they need members . Active ones that helps the post out , so that it stays alive . Any women , whom is a wife , daughter , step daughter , mother . Any female with a veteran in the family , from anytime can join ! Jammie from Virginia , you say that the veterans would be Regognized. I Have FOUR PLAQUES,Ten years ago I got my first from Dis Abled Veterans Post 64 , Butler's Post . It was a very nice one with the DAV emblem on it . In lator years I recieved one from the Butler Vietnam Veteran of America . Next it was the Penn Township Veterans gave me a ingraved plaque. This last Year I got a nice plaque from The American Legion . This was at a thank you dinner for all the workers , but I was the only one to get a plaque. When they have the Birthday dinner dance year, that is the birtday of the post. They have given me & others,papers signed by the commaders . All of these PLAQUES have in graved on them , My name , The veterans group that has given them . Also the commaders & Adj. name on them.

Gary , You say that you are a Marine , in the Pitsbugh chapter . I know from being involve with the Memorial Day Parade . That they have the Marines do the 21 gun solute. Have you ever know of the Butler Marines, I know their name is something like Battam Marines . These men also shoot the guns for Penn Twp. Veteran's Memorial service .These veterans are mostly of WWII age , they need the members also . I like their jackets in the Marines. With the Bull dog on the back. my cousin worked up from a member to the Commander of the VFW You was right when you said how they didn't respect you . Thinking that theirs was the big WAR . I knew this because how my cousin was mis treated I was Glad he stuck it out like a Marine . I was there when he got the commander . Also you say that you are a member of the Dis Abled Veterans , do you belong to the Butler chapter 64 . Because some people join it national , they get a membership, but not a chapter. My father has been past commander of D.A.V Butler chapter .Meetings are 1st Wen of the month .

Gary , I want to thank you . Like I do to each veteran , when I play the elf at VA . I help under D.A.V. each year . This past year , I had one from the Koren war . He was crying alot . I had talked to him for a while , At the end I asked if he would promis me , that he would have a nice Christmas for me . I like helping them because as my doctor told me that it helps me . With controling Epilepsy thats why I miss spell alot , because I missed alot of school. But I graduted , even went to BC3 .
