Donna M. Pisor Washington

Donna M. Washington, 67, of Normal Avenue, Kutztown, died Dec. 9 in Kutztown Manor, where she had been a patient since Dec. 3.

Born Aug. 13, 1937, in West Sunbury, she was the daughter of the late Richard H. and Lela M. Campbell Pisor.

She was employed as a laborer at East Penn Manufacturing Co., Lyon Station, from 1972 until her retirement in 2000. Prior to that, she was employed for several years as a sewing machine operator at the former Fleetwood Shirt Factory, Fleetwood, Berk County.

From 1956 until the mid 1960s, she worked in the laundry at the former Pittsburgh School for the Deaf.

She had a special interest in caring for her family members.

She is survived by a son, David G. Washington of Kutztown, with whom she lived; a sister, Isabell M. Pisor of Danville, Ohio; two brothers, John W., and his wife, Helen L. (Salusky) Pisor, of Hilliards, and Robert G. and his wife, Edna V. (Hupp) Pisor, of Whiskerville; a granddaughter, Ashley M. Washington, at home; two nieces, three nephews, three great-nieces and one great-nephew.

She was predeceased by a son, Richard T. Washington, who died in 1979, and her former husband, Grant G. Washington, who died in 1988.

WASHINGTON - Friends of Donna M. Washington, who died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, will be received from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at LUDWICK FUNERAL HOME, 333 Greenwich St., Kutztown. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bryan Rosenberg, pastor of Bethel Church of the Nazarene in Kutztown, will officiate. Interment will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.
