A July 17 wedding is being planned by Allyson Prater and Todd Ellis, both of Longmont, Colo.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jeffrey and Jane Prater of Ames, Iowa. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are William and Linda Ellis of Renfrew.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Ames High School and 2003 graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She is currently a graduate student at Iliff School of Theology in Denver.

Her fiancé graduated in 1997 from Butler High School and in 2002 from Pennsylvania State University. He received a master's degree in 2004 from Colorado State University, where he is currently a graduate research assistant while pursuing a doctorate degree.
