On Jan. 1, Larry Parenti, president of the Butler County Bowling Association, presented a check for $250 to Dan Persic, owner of Bruin Lanes for the Ron Ridley Scholarship Fund.
The fund issues scholarships to local bowlers through a tournament held annually at Bruin Lanes.
The tournament is in memory of Ron Ridley, a longtime coach in the YABA bowling program at Bruin Lanes.
