Marine Corps Cpl.Kevin Boyd, son of Phillip Boyd of Gibsonia, assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, recently participated in the sweep of Fallujah and has since been committed to ensuring the security and stability in the cities of Kandari and Nasar Wa Salam.His unit has conducted more than 120 patrols, 13 platoon reinforced raids and a company reinforced search of Kandari. Most importantly they insured that the 1st Marine Division did not have to worry about their rear supply routes and communications during the fight in Fallujah.Boyd is a 2001 graduate of Hampton High School and joined the Marine Corps in June 2001.---

Air Force Reserve Airman 1st ClassKeith Samekhas graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.Samek, the son of Donna and James Samek of Butler, is a 2004 graduate of Knoch High School.
