3 p.m. Monday - A city man was injured when he was struck by an unidentified pickup truck on South Main Street.John Tirr, 28, was standing next to his parked vehicle when a red, full-sized pickup traveling south passed by and its passenger side mirror hit Tirr. The driver of the truck did not stop. Tirr was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and was treated for a sprained right shoulder.
10:53 p.m. Sunday - Robert Ament, 35, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence after his pickup truck struck a sport utility vehicle parked on Hansen Avenue. Phil Dirocco of Darlington, Beaver County owns the SUV.
7 p.m. Monday - Spencer Fleming, 35, of Bakerstown, Allegheny County, was arrested for driving under the influence after his pickup truck struck a railroad bridge wall, spun out and hit a tunnel wall on Dinnerbell Road near Victory Road in Jefferson Township.Fleming, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. He was arraigned on charges of DUI, resisting arrest and several undisclosed traffic violations, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bond.3:45 p.m. Monday - A pickup truck was destroyed when fire erupted in its engine compartment while traveling on Route 19 in Muddy Creek Township. Roy Knauf, 60, of Jackson Township, who was driving the pickup, managed to get out of it and was not injured.9:15 a.m. Monday - A car driven by Megan McAfee, no age given, of Harmony traveled off Mars-Evans City Road at the Marburger Dairy in Forward Township and struck a parked vehicle. McAfee's car spun sideways and struck another parked vehicle, which was pushed into a third parked vehicle. McAfee, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.8:28 p.m. Sunday - A car driven by Brandy Saddler, no age given, of Pittsburgh and a sport utility vehicle driven by Edward Abraham, no age given, of Moundsville, W.Va., collided on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Saddler, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
