William J. Bowers
William J. Bowers, 64, of Butler died at 3:28 p.m. Saturday at his home after a 4-year battle with cancer.
Born Nov. 7, 1940, in Butler, he was the son of the late William Henry Bowers and the late Nellie Jane Porterfield Bowers.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Crossfire. He enjoyed fishing and bowling, but most of all he loved his church and his involvement with the Seeds of Hope program.
Mr. Bowers owned and operated his own auto body shop.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alec (Cheryl A.) Konoval of Daytona, Fla.; two sons, John M. and Adam D. Bowers, both of Butler; two sisters, Mrs. J. Todd (Sharon) Moore and Donna S. Cicco, both of Butler; five grandchildren; and four nephews.
