Grace E. Snow
Grace E. Snow, 86, of East Penn Street died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 5, 1918, in Fenelton, she was a daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth Blatt Slater.
Mrs. Snow was a homemaker and mother. She had formerly worked as a private duty caregiver for 12 years.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, where she was an Eucharistic Minister for 12 years until 1991. She also was a member of St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers and the Second Half Club at St. Paul.
Mrs. Snow was member of the Order of Alhambra Jaen Caravan 131 in Butler and held the position of Sultana. She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Knights of Columbus Council 866 in Butler and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the BPO Elks 170 in Butler.
She is survived by two sons, Nicholas Snow of Butler and Thomas Snow of Butler with whom she lived; two daughters, Mrs. George (Mary Ellen) Vandersyde of Butler and Mrs. Nemesio (Patricia) Miro of Baycliff, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Trimbur of Butler; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, attorney Kenneth L. Snow, who she married Nov. 11, 1940, and who died June 18, 1959; and a sister.
SNOW - Friends of Grace E. Snow, who died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at theGEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.Members of the Order of Alhambra and the Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home to recite the Rosary.St. Paus Guild and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:35 a.m. Monday at the church to recite the Rosary.
