Helen L. Tarcha, 88, formerly of Main Street in Lyndora, died Sunday at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born June 16, 1916, in Butler she was a daughter of Stephen and Eva Bandar Czap.

She was a member of St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church in Lyndora.

Surviving are a son, John R. Tarcha of Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Clair (Barbara) Allen of Slippery Rock and Mrs. Michael (Sandra) Fazzino of Butler; and a sister, Mrs. Andrew (Lillian) Grinnik of Butler. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was the widow of John Tarcha, who died Nov. 7, 1974. Two sisters also preceded her in death.
